Curran Packaging Company Limited was founded following a Management buy out of part of the Tube Winding operation of the Mardon Packaging Group (a subsidiary of BAT Industries). At this time the Company specialised in the manufacture of large diameter and heavy wall spiral wound fibreboard tubes. As the Company grew over the next 2/3 years it fully diversified its activities to cover the complete range of tubes from 16mm diameter to 756mm diameter.
The Company acquires the machinery and goodwill of Kestral Converters, a trading Company of Paperun Ltd. This operation has developed over the years and in its present form is a compact unit handling precision guillotining and sheeting of various types of paper. A large percentage of this operation is associated with the storage and distribution of customer's paper.
